Chocolate-Glazed Wonut

Instructions

To make the wonuts:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flours, Splenda Sweetener, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, whisk egg until frothy, then whisk in milk. Add to dry ingredients and mix to blend.
  3. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions. Pour batter onto waffle iron (using amount recommended by manufacturer) and cook until done. Immediately cut with a 3-inch round biscuit cutter. Repeat with remaining batter.

To make the glaze:

  1. In a blender, combine Splenda Sweetener, cornstarch, and cocoa powder; process to a fine powder. Transfer to a bowl; whisk in water and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread glaze over each wonut; let sit until glaze hardens before serving.
