Double Chocolate Frosting

Instructions

  1. Pour milk in a saucepan; sprinkle gelatin over the top and let stand 1 minute. Cook over low heat, stirring, until gelatin dissolves, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add chocolate and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts. Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.
  3. Add Splenda Sweetener, salt, and chocolate syrup; stir to combine. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and let stand for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer for 5–8 minutes or until mixture reaches spreading consistency; do not overbeat.
  6. Frost cake or cupcakes immediately.
