Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 Sachets SPLENDA® Low Calorie Sweetener
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 cups low fat milk

Method

Mix together SPLENDA® Low Calorie Sweetener and cocoa in a small saucepan. Gradually add milk, whisking until blended.

Cook over medium-low heat until thoroughly heated. Serve immediately.

Note: For mint flavoured hot chocolate, add a drop of mint extract to the mixture before heating. For mocha hot chocolate, add 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules to the milk before heating.

Notes

- This recipe, when compared with a traditional recipe has a 26% reduction in kilojoules, a 45% reduction in carbohydrate and 48% reduction in sugars.
